THE STORY OF POSEGATE FARMS
Posegate Farms is an urban effort to bring premium, local, fresh-cut flowers grown in Tulsa, OK to consumers in Tulsa. Growing the plants in a collection of small flower gardens in town, Ellen and her team plant, maintain, and manage several "farms" in Midtown Tulsa.
Farming runs in the family, as Ellen and Laura are the fourth generation in their family to carry on the tradition of farming in the heartland. 'Posegate' is a family name from their farming heritage. And thus Posegate Farms was born! With Posegate Farms they hope to use their fresh flowers to share joy and beauty with Tulsa through flower bouquet subscriptions, selling to local florists, and using their flowers and industry expertise to educate others through unique classes and presentations in the area.

Ellen Weatherholt
Ellen has a passion for growing unique and beautiful plants! She has been working in both the garden and floral industries for 20+ years. She earned horticulture degrees from Oklahoma State University and Cornell University with experience working at botanic gardens across the country. Ellen loves sharing her knowledge through seminars and workshops. Her favorite place to be is in the garden with her nose smelling a flower!

Laura Weatherholt
Laura has a passion for making the everyday beautiful! With 14 years of experience in the industry, she has earned design and marketing degrees from Kansas State University and Tulsa Community College. She loves to get creative--whether its floral design, marketing, or problem solving--plus everything in between!

Tom 'Papa' Weatherholt
A proud father to Ellen and Laura, Tom keeps things running on the farms while Ellen and Laura teach him the ways of the flowers. A third generation farmer, he is excited to explore the new yet familiar world of cut-flower farming!

Lisa Weatherholt
As an avid gardener, Lisa loves dividing plants to share with others. She helps us keep an eye on the latest and greatest farm and garden plants and accessories. Lisa loves including natives and pollinator plants in any garden she works in!

Ampersand 'Ampy' Weatherholt
Ampy is our professional sniffer, tracking all the bunnies in the garden and giving the final sniff test of quality control to our subscription arrangements. His favorite place is the flower field, checking each plant for possible treasures!
